1.    Definition of CV and Resume

Curriculum Vitae or CV is a document that contains your curriculum vitae, career path, and personal information. Generally, a CV is used to apply for a job in which various information ranging from work experience, abilities/skills and education history are listed.

Resume is a document that summarizes a person's experience, skills, education and achievements. In other words, a resume is a document created to provide a brief overview of a prospective employee, especially in terms of experience and abilities.

                                              

2.    The Aims of CV and Resume

a.       Purpose of CV

v  To be a tool to introduce oneself as a professional to the employer.

v  Helps to know what abilities and skills the applicant has.

v  Helps determine the appropriate salary to be given to the applicant.

v  Make it easier for companies to evaluate applicants' competencies according to their relevance based on company needs.

v  Explain the criteria possessed by the applicant and adjusted to the needs of the company.

 

b.      Purpose of Resume

The purpose of a resume for a job application is to provide information or an explanation of a person's qualifications in a clear, concise and concise manner.

 

3.    Sentences in CV

a.       Stay simple, focus and make sure it only contains one clause. To be more meaningful, you must add a transition phrase to help connect it with the sentence around it.

b.      Build sentences. The complete sentence contains a group of words about the subject. Each contains a clause (part of the sentence), starting with capital letters and ends with a point.

c.       Maintain sentences as short as possible.

d.      Never use two words when someone is going to do it.

e.      Make sure your sentence contains at least one adjective or word (or both).

f.       Try not to repeat words that are not necessary in it.

g.      Use quotes to display quotes.

h.      Insert the two before describing the list of words.

i.        In general, you must talk about your old jobs in the past and your current job in the present form.

j.    Write as the first or third person. If you write as the first person, try not to use 'me' or 'I' repeatedly. Likewise, if you decide on a third person's option, be sure to start your sentence with words of action.

k.      Writing as a third person tends to be more concise, effective, and to the point.
